This exercise will help us write about “Computers” in four unique ways — Expository, Persuasive, Descriptive, and Narrative — while mastering paragraph structures like PEEL, TEEL, TEXAS, and the Hamburger Method.

Most of our paragraphs are in 150 to 200 words. You can also find longer paragraphs (in 300 words) on ‘Computers or essays on the same topic on the web.

However, they should be used wisely and not excessively.

2. Persuasive Paragraph on Computers (Tries to Convince You)

Computers are one of the greatest inventions of modern times, and every student should learn how to use them. They make learning easier and more interesting by providing access to a wide range of information. With computers, students can research topics, create projects, and even attend online classes from anywhere. TEEL Method (Topic, Evidence, Explanation, Link)

Topic: Computers have become an important part of our daily lives.

Evidence: Many schools use computers for smart classes, where students watch videos and complete online activities. At home, we can use computers to draw, write stories, or talk to friends.

Explanation: They help us study, work, and stay connected with others.

Link: Hence, computers are helpful tools that make our lives smarter and more fun.

TEXAS Method (Topic, Example, Explanation, Analysis, Summary/Significance)

Topic: Computers are amazing machines that make our work easier.

Example: For instance, students use computers to do homework, and teachers use them to prepare lessons.

Explanation: They help us type, calculate, play, and learn.

Analysis: This shows that computers are not just for fun but also for learning and solving problems.

Summary: In short, computers are helpful friends that make our lives simple and enjoyable.

Hamburger Method (Top Bun, The Fillings, Bottom Bun)

Top Bun (Topic Sentence):
A computer is a smart machine that helps people do many things quickly.

The Fillings (Supporting Details):
It can store and share information, draw pictures, play music, and solve sums. Children use computers to learn new lessons and play learning games. In offices, adults use them to write letters, make reports, and send emails. Computers are also used for watching movies and talking to friends online.

Bottom Bun (Concluding Sentence):
In conclusion, computers make our lives easier, more fun, and full of learning opportunities.
