Materials Required

  • Cardboard
  • Ruler & Double-sided Tape
  • Sketch Pen (Black and Red)
  • Bamboo Sticks
  • White Craft Paper
  • Scissors

Procedure

Step 1: Taking Two Cardboard Pieces

The first step is to take two cardboards of rectangle shape as shown above.

Step 2: Taking Measurements With The Ruler

Now, take a ruler and a black marker. Take measurements with the help of a ruler. To avoid mistakes you can use a pencil instead of a black marker. Make a long rectangle with a width of 6 cm and make the length according to the width.

Step 3: Making The Marks

With the help of the scale and black marker, mark the measurements on the outline of the rectangle. Keep a scale alongside the outline of the rectangle and mark a small line after every 2.5cm gap on both sides of the length of the rectangle.

Step 4: Making The Dots

Now, mark dots with the help of a black sketch pen. Mark where you have already marked the lines in the above step. You just have to mark the dots alternatively as shown in the picture. Remember to mark alternatively on both sides of the length of the rectangle.

Step 5: Inserting Small Bamboo Sticks

Now, take small bamboo sticks and insert them where you have marked the dots on the outline of the length of the rectangle.

Step 6: Making A Small Rectangle

Now, with the help of cardboard and scissors, make a 5cm × 3.5cm small rectangle as shown in the picture.

Step 7: Cutting The Small Rectangle Into An Oval Shape

Now, with the help of scissors, cut the above small rectangle into an oval shape as shown in the picture.

Step 8: Cutting A Bamboo Stick

Take a big bamboo stick and cut it to a length of 10.5 cm. Measure the size of the bamboo with the help of a ruler. Remember to take a bigger size of the bamboo stick than the one you inserted on the dot of the length of the rectangle.

Step 9: Pasting The Oval To The Stick

Attach the 10.5 cm stick on the oval with tape as shown.

Step 10: Making A Figure

Now, with the help of the white craft paper, make a figure as shown above. Stick it on the oval shape with the help of double-sided tape. Remember, the bamboo stick should be behind the oval and the figure should be in front of the oval shape. After sticking the figure, draw the features of the figure with the help of red and black colored sketch pens as shown in the picture.

Step 11: Placing The Figure On The Bigger Rectangle

Now, the figure which you have made from white colored craft paper, put it between the bamboo sticks as shown in the picture.
