  • Water colors
  • Sketch pens
  • A pair of scissors
  • Paintbrush
  • A pencil
  • Talcum powder
  • Liquid glue
  • Googly eyes

Procedure

Step 1: Starting With The Sheet Of Paper

Take a blue sheet of paper and cut a big circle out of it. Now, take a smaller white sheet of paper and draw a small penguin on it with a pencil. It needs to have a big oval body with wings on both sides and another oval shape drawn in the middle of the body. See the picture below for reference.

Step 2: Draw A Beak And Two Claws

Draw a beak inside the smaller oval right at the top. Now, draw two feet at the bottom of the oval body. See the picture below for reference.

Step 3: Colour The Penguin

Take a black sketch pen and colour the the wings and the oval body of the penguin except the oval shape drawn inside the body. Now, colour the beak and the feet with orange sketch pen. See the picture below for reference.

Step 4: Pasting The Googly Eyes

Take a pair of googly eyes and paste them next to each other in the middle of the coloured section of the body. See the picture below for reference.

Step 5: Cutting The Penguin Shape Out

Using a pair of scissors, cut the outline of the penguin out of the white sheet. See the picture below for reference. Repeat the entire process and make another such penguin shape.

Step 6: Sprinkle Some Powder On The Sheet

Apply some liquid glue on the bottom half of the blue sheet. Now, sprinkle some talcum powder throughout this surface. See the picture below for reference

Step 7: Sprinkle Some More Powder

Sprinkle some more powder and cover the entire surface with this powder. See the picture below for reference.

Step 8: Pasting The Penguins On The Sheet

Paste both penguins in the middle of the sheet right next to each other. See the picture below for reference.

Step 9: Painting The Blue Sheet

Take some grey paint onto the paintbrush and paint the section below the feet of the left penguin as shown in the picture below.

Step 10: Painting The Entire Bottom Section

Paint the entire bottom section below the penguins using grey paint. Now, using some white paint, outline the upper lines of the grey-painted section. See the picture below for reference.

Step 11: Outline The Entire Painted Section

Using the same white paint, outline the entire section that you painted grey earlier. Also, paint some mild strokes following a scattered pattern in the middle of the grey-painted area as shown in the picture below.

Step 12: Painting Some Flowers On The Sheet

Take some pink paint and draw two petals at the top section of the grey-painted area. See the picture below for reference.

Step 13: Painting Three Flowers On The Sheet

Draw six more petals next to these petals. Now, draw two similar flowers on both sides of the flower that you just painted. Finally, using some yellow paint make some dots in the middle of each flower. See the picture below for reference.

Finally, The Happy Penguins Floating On Icebergs

This completes the painting and we are left with two penguins standing on the iceberg floating through the ocean.

In this tutorial, you learned great painting, cutting, and pasting skills. You also learned to work with a new craft material, talcum powder.
