This fun and easy DIY Rainbow Color Paper Snail Craft is perfect for kids to make! All you need is colorful paper, glue, and scissors to make this fun craft project. Follow the step-by-step instructions to create a paper snail that pops with rainbow hues.

With strong shells on the back, and two tentacles connected to the head holding two eyes on top of them like marbles, snails come off as quite a unique organism. They move slowly like turtles with the help of the back of their body called a foot. Go out in the garden or a park, you might find one or just search on the internet. Observe it closely to understand its structure properly because, in today’s tutorial, we will be making one out of paper sheets. So, collect all the material required, and let’s start making it.

Materials Required

  • Colored Sheets
  • Compass
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick
  • Double-Sided Tape

Procedure

Step 1: Making A Circle

Begin with this craft and take a red sheet of paper and a compass and draw a big circle in the middle of the sheet.

Step 2: Cutting The Circle

With the help of scissors, cut the circle out into a proper round shape.

Step 3: Folding Circle Into A Semi-Circle

Fold the circle from the middle to make a semi-circle shape. Join the circumference properly to perfect the shape.

Step 4: Pasting A Double-Sided Tape

Apply double-sided tape on the right side of the diameter of the semi-circle.

Step 5: Making The Shell Of The Snail

From an orange sheet of paper, cut out an oval with the help of scissors. Cut out a yellow oval smaller than the orange. Now, paste the yellow one over the orange.

Step 6: Adding Green Oval

Repeat the previous step on a green sheet of paper and paste it on the yellow oval.

Step 7: Adding More Colors

Cut the rest of the three colored ovals in sequential order of the rainbow and paste them on one another. The oval need to get smaller with each sequence.

Step 8: Connecting The Shell With The Body

Peel the double-sided tape and stick the shell on it. This completes the process of joining the shell with the body.

Step 9: Making Tentacles And Eyes

Using a red sheet cut out 2 strips for tentacles and paste them in front of the body from behind. Make its eyes with white and black sheets and paste them over the tentacles.
