Materials Required

• Craft Paper (Yellow, Orange, Green, Red, Black, and White)
• Thin Double-sided Tape
• Black Marker/Sketch Pen
• Ruler
• Scissors
• Pencil
• Glue

Procedure

Step 1: Taking Yellow Craft Paper and Fold It

Your first step is to take the yellow-colored craft paper. Fold the yellow-colored craft paper alternatively. Remember how you used to make Chinese fans when you were a kid, in the same way, you have to fold this yellow-colored craft paper.

Step 2: Making Fan-like Shaped

After folding the yellow-colored craft paper alternatively, you will get a fan-like shape as shown in the picture.

Step 3: Sticking Thin Double-sided Tape in the Middle

Now, take the thin double-sided tape and open the yellow-colored fan from the middle and stick the thin double-sided tape in the middle of the fan as shown.

Step 4: Cutting The Corners of the Yellow Fan

Now, with the help of scissors, cut the top corners of the yellow-colored fan. Cut it in a way that looks round from the top.

Step 5: Opening The Yellow Fan

After cutting the top corners, open the yellow-colored fan. After opening, it will look like a beautiful petal of the sunflower.

Step 6: Making Two More Petals

To make more petals of the sunflower, repeat the same steps from above with the help of yellow-colored craft paper and thin double-sided tape. Make two petals in the same way. After making petals, stick one petal shape on the right side of the first petal shape you made, with the help of thin double-sided tape.

Step 7: Sticking Another Petal on the Left Side

Again, with the help of double-sided tape, stick another petal that you have made on the left side of the first petal as shown.

Step 8: Joining the Ends of the Yellow Craft Paper

Stick the double-sided tape on one end of the petal shape. Then, after sticking, join both ends of the yellow-colored craft paper/sunflower.

Step 9: Drawing a Circle On Orange Craft Paper

Now, take an orange-colored craft piece of paper, fold it in half, and then, draw a circle with the help of a pencil on an orange-colored craft paper. With the help of scissors cut the circle. Remember to cut the circle in such a way that you get two joined circles.

Step 10: Cutting the Two Joined Circles

After cutting the orange-colored circle, you will get two orange-colored joined circles as shown in the image. Then, cut the part of the orange circle where the circle is joined from/the middle part. Remember to do this step very carefully.

Step 11: Making Vertical and Horizontal lines on an Orange Circle With a Black Marker/Sketch pen

Now, with the help of a black marker/sketch pen and ruler, make vertical and horizontal lines on the orange-colored circles as shown in the picture. Preferably use a thin black marker/sketch pen so that it doesn’t get too messy.

Step 12: Sticking the Orange Circle on the Yellow Craft Paper with Glue

Use the glue to stick the orange-colored circle in the middle of the yellow-colored craft paper/sunflower petals. Remember that the part of the line on the orange-colored craft paper should be in front.

Step 13: Sticking the Green Stem on Orange Craft Paper

Firstly, take green colored craft paper and roll it to make a stem of the sunflower. After making the stem from green-colored craft paper, stick the stem on another orange-colored circle that you had cut in the above step with the help of glue.

Step 14: Sticking the Stem Behind the Sunflower

After sticking the stem to the orange-colored circle, stick the stem behind the yellow-colored craft paper/sunflower with the help of the glue as shown.

Step 15: Making a Leaf with Green Craft Paper

Now, with the help of green-colored craft paper, make a leaf. Then, stick the leaf to the stem with the help of the glue.
