Easy To Make Red Camilla Paper Origami Flower
Materials Required
- Red-White Origami Paper
- Yellow Paper Sheet
- Scissors
- Glue
- Floral Stem
Procedure
Step 1: Making An Horizontal Crease
Begin this craft by taking a red origami paper sheet which is plain white from the other side. Fold the paper’s bottom side to the upper one and make a horizontal crease then unfold again.
Step 2: Making A Triangle With A Partition
Fold along the horizontal crease and you will see a white rectangle. Fold the bottom right corner of this rectangle along the top side and make a slanting crease. Fold the left top corner of the rectangle along the bottom side and make a slanting crease. Unfold the whole paper to see 2 arrow creases on the paper and over the horizontal crease.
Fold the corners ahead of the front arrow along the slanting creases to form a triangle with a partition over the paper.
Step 3: Making An ‘M’ Shape
Fold the paper along the horizontal crease to the back (showing the red side of the paper, not the white). Then hold the end of the folded crease opposite the triangle and pinch and push in the paper along the slanting creases (you will see the paper is being folded from the non-creased part) to the back of the opposite side of it and crease this fold wholely. You will see an ‘M’ shape with a slanting partition over it which is inverted.
Step 4: Flipping The Shape
Flip the ‘M’ shape to the other side.
Step 5: Opening The Paper From The Partition
Now, take the one short partition side of the ‘M’ shape fold it along the partition to make a crease, and unfold again. Now, open the ‘M’ shape from the partition from the middle. Leave the second one as it is.
Step 6: Inserting The Small Part Inside The Opening
Now, insert the one smaller part side of the ‘M’ inside the partition opening along the crease. You will see a triangle figure.
Step 7: Making And Inserting Another ‘M’ Shape Figure
Repeat all the previous steps till step 4 make another ‘M’ shape figure and apply glue to it smaller part of it. Insert this ‘M’ shape in the 0pening of the previously made triangle figure and make this figure stick to it (triangle figure) using the applied glue. Now, fold outside the big triangle of this inserted ‘M’ part along its partition.
Step 8: Inserting More ‘M’ Shapes
Following the same previous step, make 3 more ‘M’ shapes and insert to stick them one by one to the next one.
Step 9: Sticking The First Part To The Last One
Insert the smaller left side of the first ‘M’ shape into the last one and stick them together using glue.
Step 10: Obtaining A Star
Spread all the stuck ‘M’ shapes to see a star shape from the top with 1 folded strand of the star and 2 single strands of the star alternatively.
Step 11: Folding The Single Strands To The Middle
One by one fold all the 2 single strands of the star along the middle partition of them.
Step 12: Making A Flower
Now, open the star from the bottom side by lightly stretching it from all sides. Give a push in the middle to the back and from the sides to the front to see your flower obtaining its 3D shape.
Step 13: Folding The Pointed Edges
Fold the pointed edges of the petals of your flower over the little white paper showing over with partitions to overlap them.
Step 14: Inserting A Yellow Flower Into The Red One
Using scissors, cut out 2 yellow paper strips and put them over each other. Now, make thin cuts on one longer side of the strip wholely and apply glue on the uncut side. Paste the tip of the floral stem over the very end of the yellow paper strip over the applied glue and roll the paper again and again over the stick to form a yellow flower with a stem.
Put the yellow flower from the end of its stem into the red one in the center hole.
