DIY Summer Hat Using Paper And Clay

• Pink and white Craft paper
• Dark green, light green, white, orange, and yellow Clay
• A rounder
• Pencil
• A Scale
• Scissors
• Glue

Procedure

Step 1: Marking The Base Of The Hat Using Pink Craft Paper

Your first step would be to take pink craft paper and cut out a big circle from it. On this pink circle, with the help of a rounder and pencil draw a circle in the middle. Make sure it’s not too small. Keep a convenient distance from the edge of the pink paper circle as shown in the image.

Step 2: Make The Lines In The Drawn Circle

Now grab your scale or ruler and in the circle you have drawn, draw six lines each one intersecting at the center point or middle point of the circle. It should look like a wheel divided into 12  equal triangle parts.

Step 3: Cutting A Design Using The Drawn Lines

Now, grab your scissors and cut along the lines you have drawn. Cut carefully through the paper and make sue not to cut anything off. Cut only along the lines you have drawn inside the circle.

Step 4: Fixing The Design You Have Cut

Once you have everything cut, you will now have 12 triangles sticking out. Push these triangles outwards by folding them from where they are attached to the paper. Fold them outwards, such that they are now sticking outwards, making a crown like structure.

Step 5: Adding Another Design Using White Paper

On white craft paper, draw a circle and around the circle draw a squiggly like design as shown in the image. Grab your scissors and cut out the curvy design from around the white circle. You will now have big ring like cut out with the curvy design.

Step 6: Sticking The Design

Using glue, stick this cut out design around the crown like design you have made on the pink paper. Slide down the curvy design carefully around the crown triangles. Secure it with glue.

Step 7: Use Green Clay To Decorate The Hat Base

From light green clay. rip out small pieces of clay.  Roll these small pieces into small individual balls. Attach these balls around the base of hat to form a design. Press down 15 of these clay balls around the base with convenient gaps between all of them.

Step 8: Use White And Dark Green Clay To Add To The Decorations

Between the gaps of the light green balls of clay, stick even smaller white balls of clay. Once you are done with that. from dark green clay make three leaves. Attach these leaves onto the hat, pressing them down close to each other to form a cluster of leaves.

Step 9: Attaching Clay Flowers

Your last step would be to make two flowers out of yellow and orange clay. Attach these to the cluster of leaves to complete your summer hat.
