Materials Required

• Colorful clay
• Craft eye
• Black marker pen
• Blank paper

Procedure

Step 1: Making The Base

Roll up a brown strip of clay just as shown in the picture above.

Step 2: Strokes On The Base

Use your fingers to make strokes on the brown clay just as shown in the picture above.

Step 3: Soil For The Craft

Similarly, repeat the above process and make some more bases. This will serve as the soil for our clay ants.

Step 4: Making The Shrubs

Use green clay stripes to make the grass and red clay circles to make the tiny flowers. This will serve as the shrubs that will surround the clay ants.

Step 5: Body Of The Ant

Make three circular shapes of black clay and stick them one after the other just as shown in the picture above. This is the body of the ant.

Step 6: Eye Of The Ant

Stick the craft/toy eye on the clay and just as shown in the picture above.

Step 7: Drawing The Hands And Legs Of The Ant

Use the black marker pen to draw the hands and legs of the clay ant. Draw its antennas as well.

Step 8: Clay Ant Carrying Food

Use any color circular piece of clay and put it on top of the ant. The ant is carrying food. Looks very realistic!
