Realistic Crepe Paper Pompous Flower Craft Idea For Beginners

This craft is great for those starting out and a fun way to make crepe paper flowers that look real. Making paper flowers is easy and all you need is crepe paper, scissors, and some crafting materials. Follow our instructions to make your own stunning flowers.

This tutorial will teach you to make realistic-looking flowers arranged in a bouquet. These pink flowers just need some spare material like jute bags you receive for free while shopping. They are biodegradable which makes them environment friendly. They are inexpensive and readily available so you can easily get your hand on one. These flowers will never whither away or lose their essence. They will have petals resembling that of a pompous plant. These beautiful, original-looking flowers will add luster to your room and house. So, collect all the materials required, and let’s begin with making them.

Material Required

• Jute bags in color pink and green
• An insulated electrical wire
• A pair of scissors
• Double sided tape
• Glue stick

Procedure

Step 1: Starting with a Pink Jute Bag

Take a pink jute bag and separate the two sides from each other, then cut off the top line containing the holding area of the bag. Now, cut a strip out of the remaining jute cloth. See the picture below for reference.

Step 2: Sticking on Some Tape on the Strip

Take a long strip of double sided tape and paste it on the one of the vertical lengths of the strip. See the picture below for reference.

Step 3: Making Cuts on the Strip

Make very thin cuts on the long side opposite to the side you pasted the tape on. This side should now have brush like bristles  . See the picture below for reference. This shall act as the flower itself. Peel the double sided tape to expose the adhesive.

Step 4: Sticking the Wire on the Jute Bag

Take the electrical wire and start rolling it on the tape pasted at the bottom of the jute bag. Roll the cloth with the wire until the cloth’s length comes to an end. This shall seal the wire with the cloth and simultaneously, give the desired shape to the jute bag. The wire will act as stem of the flower. See the picture below for reference.

Step 5: Working on the Green Jute Bag

Take a green jute bag and separate two sides from each other. Cut off the side containing the handle on top. Cut a thick strip out of this bag as shown in the picture below.

Step 6: Cutting a Leaf Out of the Strip

Cut a long leaf out of this thick strip. Repeat the process and out more such leaf shapes out of the thick strip. Make around ten of these leaf shapes . See the picture below for reference.

Step 7: Rolling the Green Cloth on the Wire

Take the spare green cloth you separated from the jute bag earlier. Cut a ling and thin strip out. Roll this cloth on the black wire attached to the pink jute strip. While reaching the bottom of the wire, place some leaves you made earlier in this roll to rope them in and seal them with the stem. This green cloth should cover a tiny area of the bottom at the  pink flower as well. See the picture below for reference.

Step 8: Adjusting More Leaves in the Roll

Take two more leaves and seal them in the roll you made in the previous step. Finally, paste the end of the green cloth you were rolling on the surface below. See the picture below for reference.

Making More Such Flowers

Repeat the entire process and make four more such flowers with stems and leaves. This now leaves use with a bouquet of this lovely flowers.
