Materials Required

• Craft paper (Red, Green)
• Green paper clip
• Tissue paper
• Green ribbon
• Scissors
• Glue

Procedure

Step 1: Take Four Red Craft Paper

You first step is to take four small square red coloured craft paper. Assemble them as a jigsaw puzzle as shown. Remember to take all four red coloured craft paper of same size.

Step 2: Fold One Red Craft Paper

Now, out of the four red coloured craft paper, take one red coloured craft paper. Fold that one red coloured craft paper to opposite side as shown.

Step 3: Make Another Fold From Red Craft Paper

After making fold from opposite side of the red coloured craft paper. Make another fold from the red coloured craft paper and make it into a small square as shown.

Step 4: Fold Red Craft Paper Into Triangle

After making a small square from the red coloured craft paper, fold it into a triangle by joining diagonal sides of the red coloured craft paper.

Step 5: Cut Red Craft Paper Into Shape With Scissors

Now, with the help of scissors, cut one side of the red coloured triangle into a curve shape as shown in the picture.

Step 6: Give Sharp Edges to Red Craft Paper with Scissors

After giving the curve shape to the red coloured triangle, make sharp edges of the red coloured craft paper with the help of scissors. Cut very small small triangles to give sharp edges to the red coloured craft paper. Give sharp edges from the small side of the red coloured craft paper.

Step 7: Open the Red Craft Paper

After giving a sharp edge to the red coloured craft paper. Open the red coloured craft paper and you will get a beautiful petal as shown.

Step 8: Make More Similar Petals

By repeating the same steps from above, make more similar shaped red coloured petals from red coloured craft paper.

Step 9: Insert Red Petal in Green Paper Clip

Now, first take a green colour paper clip and open it to make a straight green colour clip. This way your stem for your flower is ready.

Then, take a red coloured petal which you made above and insert the red coloured petal through the straight green paper clip into the hole.

Step 10: Keep Inserting the Red Petal in Green Paper Clip

Keep repeating the same step from above by inserting the red coloured petal into the green coloured paper clip.

Step 11: Roll a Tissue Paper Around the Green Paper Clip

Now, take a tissue paper and tear it into a narrow rectangle. Then, take that narrow rectangle tissue paper and roll it around the green paper clip (stem) as shown.

Step 12: Roll Another Tissue Paper on the Green Paper Clip

First, cover the tissue paper with green coloured ribbon with the help of glue which you have already rolled around the green coloured paper clip.

Now, roll another tissue paper around the green paper clip. But this time start rolling the tissue paper from the bottom part of the first tissue paper as shown in the picture.

Then, cover that tissue paper with green coloured ribbon too with the help of green coloured ribbon.

Step 13: Roll Green Ribbon All Over the Stem

Now, firstly shift the green ribboned rolled tissue paper above but just under the red coloured petal as shown.

Then, with the help of green coloured ribbon and glue and roll the green coloured ribbon all around the green coloured paper clip/stem. Remember to roll the green coloured ribbon till the bottom of the green paper clip.

Step 14: Make Leaves with Green Craft Paper

Now, with the help of green coloured craft paper, make a leaves.

Then, stick the leaves on the green paper clip or stem with the help of glue as shown in the picture.

Your Craft Is Ready!!

Finally your beautiful carnation paper flower is ready to bring smile on someone’s face. Even though this beautiful flower is made out of paper, it looks real nonetheless.
