Materials Required

• Colored Paper(Yellow, Brown, Green, Pink)
• Black Marker
• Glue
• Scissors

Procedure

Step 1: Folding Yellow Paper In A Zigzag Pattern

Let’s begin by taking a yellow paper. Fold the paper about one inch from one side of the paper and flip the paper. Again fold about an inch but in the opposite direction, and flip the paper again. Repeat the same till the end of the paper.

Step 2: Folding The Paper From The Middle And Pasting It

Now, fold the strips from the middle and apply glue on one half.

Step 3: Pasting The Strips In Half

After applying glue on one half, paste both halves together as shown.

Step 4: Unfolding The Strips

After pasting the strips together, unfold the strips to get a paper pattern as shown in the image.

Step 5: Cutting The Outer Edges Of The Strips

With the help of a black marker, put a slanting mark on the open outer edge of the strips as shown. Cut along the mark with the help of scissors to give a sunflower petal-like shape to the strips.

Step 6: Making One More Similar Paper Pattern

Repeating the above steps, create one more similar paper pattern as shown. Attach the two patterns together to form a circle.

Step 7: Cutting A Brown Circle

Take brown paper. Cut out a small brown circle as shown.

Step 8: Drawing Check Pattern On Brown Circle

With the help of a black marker, draw a rectangular check pattern by drawing vertical and horizontal lines on the brown circle.

Step 9: Pasting Brown Circle On The Flower

Now, take the brown circle and paste it at the center of the flower as shown.

Step 10: Adding A Stem To The Flower

Take a green paper. Pick one corner and start rolling it to the other corner to get a thin stem. Paste it behind the sunflower as shown.

Step 11: Adding Leaves To The Stem

Take green paper and cut out two similar leaves. Paste them on the stem as shown. Take pink paper and paste the sunflower on it to complete the final look.
