Materials required

• A black coloured sheet of paper
• Metallic pens of yellow and white colour
• A black coloured marker
• A paintbrush
• Red, white and yellow acrylic/painting colours
• A black coloured sheet of paper
• A red coloured sheet of paper
• A white coloured sheet of paper
• A pair of scissors
• Any adhesive

Procedure

Step 1: Drawing Lines On The Paper

Firstly, take the black-coloured sheet of paper and cut it into the shape of a circle. Then, take a metallic pen of yellow colour and draw different lines of various lengths, these will be the stems of your flowers!

Step 2: Taking Some Yellow Paint

Next, take some yellow paint and put it on your finger as shown.

Step 3: Pressing Your Finger Against The Paper

Now, press your finger against the paper, drawing small flower-like shapes as you move downwards.

Step 4: Creating Some More Flowers On The Other Stem As Well

Now, create some more flowers in the next step as well using the same process.

Step 5: Repeating The Same Process For All The Other Stems As Well

Repeat the same step as above and add flowers to all the stems.

Step 6: Taking Some Red Colour

Now, take a small quantity of red paint and put it on your finger. Then, carefully proceed by pressing your finger against the paper on the flowers.

Step 7: Giveing The Shading Effect

Now, repeat the same step as above to give a shading effect to all the flowers you created.

Step 8: Drawing Small Lines Around The Flowers

Next, you are supposed to take a white coloured metallic pen and draw small lines around each and every flower.

Step 9: Giveing The Sprinkle Effect Using The Paintbrush

Then,  take a paintbrush dipped into white paint, then place the marker right below the paintbrush as shown in the picture below and start shaking and moving the paintbrush all around the black sheet. Alternatively, you can also take an old toothbrush and dip it in paint to give this sprinkle effect.

Step 10: Pasting A Black Circle

Now, take the black-coloured sheet of paper and cut it into the shape of a circle. Using the adhesive, paste the circle on the paper.

Step 11: Adding Wings

Now, take a red sheet and cut out two circles with the help of the scissors. Then fold each of the red circles into half and paste these on the black circle using the adhesive as shown below.

Step 12: Drawing The Bug Pattern

Next, take the black coloured marker to draw the bug pattern, i.e. small black circles on the red wings. Then, cut small circles out of the white sheet and paste them as close to the bug’s body. Then take the marker and draw smaller circles on the white ones to complete the bug eyes. The best part about these bugs is that they are so easy, you can make as many as you want !!!
