Easy Leaf Hedgehogs Craft Tutorial For Kids

Seems like an odd combination, doesn’t it? And, what do we do with odd combinations? We turn it into mesmerizing art that fits just right. In this tutorial, we are going to make fun hedgehogs with the help of a few materials including common nettles. Go grab your nettles from gardens, parks, or even sidewalks, you can find them anywhere, and don’t forget to pluck them from the stem as they can be prickly and might even sting so be careful while dealing with them.

Fun to Make Hedgehog Craft Using Leaves

Material Required

• A Sheet Of White Chart Paper
• A Pencil
• A Sketch Pen
• Nettles

Procedure

Step 1: Drawing The Face Of The Hedgehog

Take a small sheet of white chart paper and neatly draw the face, focusing on the side pose, of a hedgehog. Make a big round nose with a small oval shape left uncolored on the upper part of the nose to make it look more shiny and lively. You just have to draw a triangle with a small circle in it and a round circle at its tip.

Step 2: Poking Holes In Its Body

Now complete the drawing part by making its body. To do that, just extend the base of the triangle you drew earlier going a little up at the end or simply curving the edge just a little bit. Add two pairs of feet at the base of the body at some distance from each other. Take a nettle and poke holes right from the top tip of the triangle to the curved end of the body. Overline the entire sketch with a black sketch pen.

Step 3: Sticking The Nettles In These Holes

Pin the nettles in these holes to make them look like the spikes of the hedgehog. Do pin a nettle at the end of the body in order to make a tail.
