Materials Required

• Construction Papers (Green and Orange)
• Black Marker
• Scissors
• Glue

Procedure

Step 1: Getting A Square Paper

Begin the craft, by getting ready with a green square paper or green origami paper.

Step 2: Folding Square Paper In Half Diagonally

Fold the square paper half diagonally to form a triangle. Crease it well and unfold it.

Step 3: Forming Kite Shape

Now, turn the paper around to turn the square into a diamond shape. Bring the top side to align with the middle crease. Repeat the same with the bottom side. You should get a kite shape.

Step 4: Folding Kite Shape In Half

Fold the kite shape in half inwards.

Step 5: Folding Long Edge In Half

Next, fold the long side to pinch the center point of the triangle as shown in the above image.

Step 6: Turning Paper Around

Turn the paper around to the opposite side.

Step 7: Wrapping Paper Around Itself

Wrap the left paper around itself.

Step 8: Tucking In Left Paper

Now, tuck in the corner in the pocket formed.

Step 9: Cutting Beak

Once the bird’s body is ready, cut a triangle shape out of orange paper using scissors to make the beak of the bird.

Step 10: Applying Glue

Apply glue on the triangle formed on the bird’s body.

Step 11: Pasting Beak On Bird

Paste the orange paper beak on the bird.

Step 12: Making Eyes Of The Bird

Use a black pen to make a bird’s eye.

Step 13: Pasting Wings

Cut an orange hemisphere and paste it on the top edge of the bird to make wings of the bird.

Step 14: Drawing A Line On the Beak

Make a slant line on the beak to divide it in half using a black pen.
