This easy recycled paper cup Peppa Pig craft tutorial is perfect for kids! They can create a fun 3D hanging decoration that’s sure to brighten up any room. With simple supplies like paper cups, paint, and felt, they’ll make an adorable Peppa Pig that can be hung up for all to see.

Peppa Pig is one of the most famous and loved cartoons in the world. And I am sure you like it too, if not like, you definitely know about it. This tutorial is inspired by this particular cartoon. Today, we will be making these pink little pigs with snorted noses. The material to be used in this craft is environment-friendly as it is created from recycled paper. The product in question is a paper cup which has been used by you already. So, save up the cup in order for it to be used in making this fun craft. Collect all the material required and let’s get started.

Material Required

  • A pink paper cup
  • Plastic drinking straws in different colors
  • A pair of scissors
  • A pink sheet of paper
  • Transparent tape
  • Glue stick
  • Pink sketch pen

Procedure

Step 1: Starting with the Plastic Straws

Starting with the Plastic Straws- Step-by-step guide on how to make a Peppa Pig ornament from reused paper cups for children.

Take three straws, two in color red and one in color purple. Hold all the three together with purple colored straw in the middle of the red colored straws. Cut a strip out of the tape and stick it at the top of the three clubbed straws to join them together. See the picture below for reference.

Step 2: Folding the Straws at the Top

Fold this taped area of these straws in the opposite direction of the taped side and join it with the straws beneath. Stick the rest of the tape on the same straws beneath to seal the two sides of the straws. See the picture below for reference.

Step 3: Cutting the Red Straws

Hold the two red straws together, leaving the purple straw behind. Cut both the red straws just below the folded straws as shown in the picture below. Do not cut the purple straw.

Step 4: Working on the Paper Cup

Working on the Paper Cup- This tutorial teaches young ones how to craft a Peppa Pig hanging decoration out of recycled paper cups.

Take a pink paper cup and make a hole a little below the top of the sides of this cup. Then, on the same spot opposite this hole make another hole in the sides of the cup. See the picture below for reference.

Step 5: Making a Hole at the Bottom of the Cup

Make a similar hole in the middle of the base of this same cup. See the picture below for reference.

Step 6: Inserting the Purple Straw

Take the three straws and insert the longer purple straw in the hole you made earlier in the base of the cup as shown in the picture below.

Step 7: Inserting the Other Two Straws

Inserting the Other Two Straws- Learn how to create a Peppa Pig hanging craft from used paper cups with this tutorial for kids.

Take the two red straws and insert on in the hole made on the top sides of the cup and the other in the hole lying on the opposite side of this hole you made earlier. You now have all the straws inserted in the cup holes. Stretch the red straws after inserting them and twist the expanded part to make both straws leaning towards each other as shown in the image in step eight.

Step 8: Making the Peppa Pig

Making the Peppa Pig- This tutorial is designed to help kids make a Peppa Pig ornament from repurposed paper cups.

Take a small pink sheet of paper and cut out the shape of the head of the peppa pig, the character with its nose resembling the muzzle of a gun and its two ears on top and a long face. Take a pink sketch pen and outline peripheries of the shape you just made . Make a mouth holding two little teeth and a smile at the bottom of the face and a big dot on the sheet. Finally, draw two circles on top next to each other. Draw a dot in the middle of each of these circles. This will serve as the eyes of the pig. Also draw a circle on the tip of the nose and make two prominent dots next to each other in the middle of this circle with the seam pink sketch. Paste the entire head shape on the three straws in the middle. See the picture below for reference.

Step 9: Making the Hands of the Pig

Making the Hands of the Pig- This guide will show young ones how to craft a Peppa Pig decoration from recycled paper cups.

Take two small pink sheets of paper and cut two circles out of them. Now, taking the same pink sketch pen draw a heart in the middle of both the circles. Finally, paste these circles on each of the red straws. See the picture below for reference.
