Paragraph on My Dream
Today, we’ll explore the topic My Dream through different writing styles: Expository, Persuasive, Descriptive, and Narrative. We’ll also practice organizing our ideas using paragraph structures like PEEL, TEEL, TEXAS, and Hamburger.
Most of our paragraphs are in 150 to 200 words. You can also find longer paragraphs (in 300 words) on ‘My Dream’ or essays on the same topic on the web.
Different Styles of Paragraphs on ‘My Dream’
1. Expository Paragraph on My Dream (Explains with Facts)

My dream is to become a pilot when I grow up. A pilot flies airplanes and takes people to different parts of the world. I want to fly high in the sky and see the clouds up close. Pilots have an important job because they help people travel safely. They also get to visit many countries and meet new people. I will study hard, stay healthy, and learn about flying so that I can achieve my dream of becoming a pilot one day.
2. Persuasive Paragraph on My Dream (Tries to Convince You)
Becoming a pilot is one of the most exciting and meaningful dreams a person can have. Pilots help connect people by flying them safely from one place to another. They get to explore new cities, see beautiful skies, and feel the joy of flying above the clouds. I believe being a pilot is not just a job — it’s an adventure. Everyone should follow their dreams like this because it makes life more exciting and full of purpose. I will work hard to make my dream of becoming a pilot come true!
3. Descriptive Paragraph on My Dream (Paints a Picture with Words)
When I imagine myself as a pilot, I see a bright blue sky filled with fluffy white clouds. I am sitting in the cockpit, wearing my uniform and shiny badge, with my hands on the controls of a huge airplane. The sun glows on the horizon, and the world below looks small and peaceful. The sound of the engine hums softly as I glide through the air. It feels amazing to be so high above, free like a bird, flying across the world.
4. Narrative Paragraph on My Dream (Tells a Story)

PEEL Method (Point, Evidence, Explanation, Link)

Point: My dream is to become a pilot when I grow up.
Evidence: Pilots fly airplanes high in the sky and take people safely to different places around the world.
Explanation: I want to feel the joy of flying above the clouds and seeing the earth from above. I also want to visit new countries, meet new people, and help passengers travel safely.
Link: That’s why I want to be a pilot — to make my dream of flying come true and explore the beautiful world from the sky.
2. My Dream Paragraph Writing with TEEL Method
TEEL Method (Topic, Evidence, Explanation, Link)
Topic: My dream is to become a pilot because I love flying and adventure.
Evidence: For example, I always watch planes taking off and landing at the airport and imagine myself in the cockpit, wearing the pilot’s uniform.
Explanation: Pilots have an exciting job where they get to travel to many places and guide airplanes through the sky.

4. My Dream Paragraph Writing with Hamburger Method
Hamburger Method (Top Bun, The Fillings, Bottom Bun)

Top Bun (Topic Sentence):
My dream is to become a pilot because I love flying in the sky.
The Fillings (Supporting Details):
Pilots fly airplanes and help people travel safely to faraway places. I want to wear the pilot’s uniform and sit in the cockpit with my hands on the controls. Flying above the clouds and seeing the sunrise from the sky would be a wonderful feeling. I also want to explore different countries and learn about new cultures. Pilots work hard and stay calm, which inspires me to be just like them.
Bottom Bun (Concluding Sentence):
Becoming a pilot is my dream, and I will study hard to make it come true so I can fly high and make my family proud.
