Recycled Paper Cup Tiger Craft Tutorial For Kids

Have you ever heard that tigers are cute? No, right! But today we are actually going to make a tiger that looks cute and adorable from which you have got nothing to be afraid of. You just need to use these craft materials and follow these tiny simple steps to bring your cute little tiger to life.

Materials Required

  • Orange Straws – 3
  • Sellotape
  • Recycled Paper Cup (Orange)
  • Black Marker/Sketch Pen
  • Orange Craft Paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Procedure

Step 1: Puting A Sellotape On The Straws

Put a Sellotape On The Straws-Make a Tiger out of Old Paper Cups with the Kids

Take three orange-colored straws and put a sellotape in the middle of all three straws as shown in the picture.

Step 2: Bending The Straws

Bend The Straws-A Fun Craft Activity for Children Using Recycled Paper Cups

Now, bend the upper part of the straws downwards. Bend only the two sides of the straw downwards and don’t bend the middle straw.

Step 3: Bending The Straws

Repeat the same process by bending the other side of the straw downwards as shown in the image.

Step 4: Making A Hole In a Recycled Paper Cup

Now, take an orange-colored recyclable paper cup and make a hole as shown with the help of scissors/pencil/compass, or anything you can make a hole with.

Step 5: Making More Holes In A Recycled Paper Cup

Now, again repeat the same process of making a hole in the same orange recycled cup. Make a hole at the bottom of the cup and both the upper sides of the cup.

Step 6: Fiting The Straws In A Recycled Paper Cup

Fit The Straws In a Recycled Paper Cup-Make a Tiger out of Paper Cups with the Little Ones

Take the straws. Fit the unattached part of the straw in the hole, created in the above steps. Leave the attached part outside.

Step 7: Pulling Up The Straws

When you pull up the straws from the bottom, it will create the same image as the one when we were bending the straws in the above steps.

Step 8: Making A Circle On Orange Craft Paper

Now, take a sellotape and an orange-colored craft paper. Keep the sellotape on the orange-colored craft paper. Remember the cellotape should not be fully round. You can adjust the shape of the sellotape as shown in the picture.

Step 9: Tracing The Outline Of The Sellotape With A Black Marker/Sketch Pen

Trace The Outline Of The Sellotape With a Black Marker/Sketch Pen-An Enjoyable Craft for Kids Using Repurposed Paper Cups

With the help of a black marker/sketch pen, trace the outline of the sellotape from inwards to draw a face of a tiger on orange-colored craft paper.

Step 10: Drawing The Features Of A Tiger

Draw The Features Of a Tiger-A Fun Craft Idea for Kids with Recycled Paper Cups - Make a Tiger!

After tracing, make the features of a tiger with the help of a black marker/sketch pen on an orange-colored craft paper as shown in the picture.

Step 11: Completing The Features Of A Tiger

Complete The Features Of a Tiger-Make a Tiger out of Old Paper Cups with the Kids

Complete all the facial features of a tiger with the use of a black marker/sketch pen. If you don’t know how to draw a tiger, you can refer to the above picture and make an adorable-looking tiger.

Step 12: Cutting The Drawing With Scissors

Cut The Drawing With Scissors-A Fun Craft Activity for Children Using Recycled Paper Cups

Now, with the help of scissors, cut the drawing of a tiger that you have made. Cutline by line and don’t cut the black marker/sketch pen lines.

Step 13: Sticking The Drawing On The Straw

Stick The Drawing On The Straw-Get Creative with the Kids and Turn Paper Cups into Tigers

Use the glue to stick the drawing of a tiger on the middle straw as shown.

Step 14: Making Paws And Tail With Orange Craft Paper

Make Paws And Tail With Orange Craft Paper-Transform Used Paper Cups into a Tiger with the Kids

Now, use the orange-colored craft paper to make two paws and the tail of the tiger. Use a black marker/sketch pen to draw the features. With the help of scissors cut the two paws and a tail line by line and don’t cut the black outlines of the marker/sketch pen. Stick the two paws on each side of the straw and a tail behind the recycled paper cup by using glue.
