Easy To Learn Spider Web Craft Idea For Kids

This is a great activity for kids to make a spider web. All you need are a few supplies and the children can create a wonderful spider web decoration for Halloween or any other occasion. Let their imagination run wild and have a blast!

Materials Required

  • Craft Paper (White)
  • Black Marker/Sketch Pen
  • Clay (Black And Pink)
  • Small Glass
  • Water
  • Googly Eyes
  • Poster Colour (Yellow And Purple)
  • Paint Brushes
  • Small Circular Sponge

Procedure

Step 1: Draw An Asterisk On White Craft Paper With a Black Marker/Sketch Pen

With the help of a black marker/sketch pen, draw an asterisk/four intersected lines on the white coloured craft paper. The white coloured craft paper should be in a circular shape as shown.

Step 2: Draw Curves On The Asterisk With a Black Marker/Sketch Pen

Now, with the help of a black marker/sketch pen, draw three-layer curves on the asterisk to make cobwebs/spider webs on white-coloured craft paper.

Step 3: Take Black Clay

Now, take black-coloured clay to make spiders from it.

Step 4: Put The Black Clay In a Small Glass

Take a small glass and add a small amount of water. Put the black-coloured clay in the small glass which contains water. This technique will help you to stick the black-coloured clay more easily and it won’t come off from the white-coloured craft paper.

Step 5: Make Three Black Balls From Black Clay

Now, repeat the same steps from above to make three black balls from black coloured clay as shown. Stick it on the white coloured craft paper around cobwebs/spider webs.

Step 6: Make Legs For Spiders From Black Clay

Now, make legs for the spiders from black-coloured clay. Make eight legs for each spider. Therefore, you have to make twenty-four legs for three spiders. Stick the legs under the black-coloured clay as shown.

Step 7: Stick Googly Eyes On Spiders

Now, stick one pair of googly eyes on spiders/black-coloured clay as shown in the picture.

Step 8: Stick Googly Eyes On Each Spider

As shown, you have to stick one pair of googly eyes to each spider/black-coloured clay. Therefore, you have to stick three pairs of googly eyes on each spider.

Step 9: Make Small Circles With Pink Clay

Now, to give a more cute effect to the spiders, make a blush with the help of pink-coloured clay. Make two small circles from pink-coloured clay for each spider. Therefore, you have to make six small circles for three spiders. Stick the small pink coloured circles made out of pink coloured clay just below the googly eyes as shown.

Step 10: Sprinkle The Yellow Poster Colour On White Craft Paper

Now, sprinkle the yellow poster colour on the white coloured craft paper with the help of a paintbrush and marker/sketch pen. You just have to take yellow colour paint on the paintbrush and tap the black marker/sketch pen on the paintbrush to sprinkle yellow colour on the white coloured craft paper.

Step 11: Dab Purple Poster Colour With a Sponge On White Craft Paper

Now, with the help of a small circular sponge, dab purple poster colour on white coloured craft paper as shown.
