Welcome everyone! In this tutorial, we going to teach you how to make an easy hot air balloon with a surgical mask and bottle cap. This craft is really easy and fun to make which is perfect for kids and also for adults, to create this hot air balloon you should need a few materials like a mask, bottle cap, double-sided tape, and sticky tape. Let’s get started!

Materials Required

• Surgical mask
• Plastic bottle cap
• Needle and nail
• Sticky tape and double-sided tape
• Candle
• Knife

Procedure

Step 1: Making Hole In The Plastic Bottle Cap With Needle

Grab your plastic bottle cap and then put a small hole in the middle of that bottle cap with the help of your needle.

Step 2: Pasting Double-sided Tape With Our Bottle Cap

Take your double-sided tape and cut a small piece from it, peel one side of that tape, then paste it around your bottle cap as shown in the image.

Step 3: Attaching Surgical Mask With Our Bottle Cap

Peel another side of your double-sided tape which we paste before around the bottle cap, then grab both pieces of the elastic strap of your surgical mask and paste it with the left and right side of your plastic bottle cap as shown, make sure to place your bottle cap upside down.

Step 4: Pasting A Sticky Tape Around The Bottle Cap

Now, take your sticky tape and paste it around your plastic bottle cap with those elastic straps to give it grip, and cut the excessive piece of sticky tape using scissors.

Step 5: Bending Surgical Mask

Place your hands on both sides of your surgical mask and give a little pressure on it to bend your mask.

Step 6: Opening Surgical Mask To Make A Hot Air Balloon

Grab a top and bottom sides of your mask, then pull both sides out to open that mask to make a hot air balloon.

Step 7: Placing Candle In The Middle Of Plastic Bottle Cap

Cut a small piece of candle from the long candle and place that small piece of candle in the middle of your bottle cap.

Step 8: Pasting Candle With Bottle Cap Using Nail

Then take a piece of nail and insert it in the hole that we put in the middle of the bottle cap with the candle to attach your candle to the bottle cap. Then light the candle and let it float.
