Pretty Cotton Earbud Flower Painting Art Idea For Kids

This tutorial brings to you a lovely flower painting made on a sheet of paper. This painting uses the conventional paint to make the flowers but an unconventional object when it comes to the painting apparatus. Instead of using a paint brush, we will be painting with ear buds which makes it easy for toddlers and beginners to make this painting. It is extremely easy and fun to make and will teach you a unique way of creating art through painting. Do, collect all the material required and let’s start making this flower painting.

Material Required

• A white sheet of chart paper
• A pair of scissors
• Water colours
• Ear buds
• Green sketch pen

Procedure

Step 1: Working On The Sheet Of Paper

Take a sheet of paper and cut a circle out of it. Place it on the table. Now, take some orange paint and an ear bud. Dip the ear bud directly in the orange paint. Draw seven lines starting from the same centre. They should all be drawn around the circle as shown in the picture below.

Step 2: Painting More Flowers

Working with the same orange paint and following the same procedure, make three more flowers on the sheet of paper as shown in the picture below.Fill all the orange flowers with more lines making them look fuller. Now, take another ear bud and dip it in a purple coloured paint. Draw three big and two small flowers following the steps you did to make the orange flowers. Make the flowers look fuller by drawing more lines on it. While painting the flowers, remember to keep the bottom section of the sheet blank for the stems. Let the painted flowers dry. After the paint has dried completely, start making the flower buds. To do that, take a new ear bud and dip it in yellow paint. Make yellow dots at the centre of all the painted flowers. See the picture below for reference. The lines should act as the petals and the yellow dots as the buds of the flowers.

Step 3: Making Some Young Budding Flowers

Take some purple paint on an ear bud and three thick lines in the space between the flowers on the left side of the sheet. The lines should be connected at the bottom. Repeat the process with the same paint on the right side of the sheet near the circumference as shown in the picture below. Finally, draw two thick lines connected at the bottom between the two purple flowers. See the picture below for reference. These lines shall act as the budding flowers in this painting.

Making The Stems And The Leaves

Take a green sketch pen and make a dot in the middle of the circumference at the bottom. Now, from this dot, draw lines connecting this dot with each flower including the budding flowers. These lines will act as the stems of the flowers.Finally, make lots of leaves on these stems. The leaves should be made by drawing short lines connected to the stems and even smaller lines connected the lines you drew on the stems. See the picture below for complete reference.
