Beautiful Handprint Swan Craft Tutorial For Beginners

This tutorial is meant for kids new to art and craft. It can also be done as a fun activity with your toddlers. It requires basic art skills and materials as simple as a sheet of paper and your own little hands. So, if you are new to art and craft and don’t know what to start with, this is exactly the thing for you. It is inspired by swans swimming in the lake at night. This craft is extremely enjoyable and fun to make. You can call your friends over and do this activity together as a fun game or you do it in school with your fellow classmates. Materials Required

• A Black Sheet Of Paper
• White, Blue, Yellow, and Red Paint
• Paintbrush
• A Single Googly Eye

Procedure

Step 1: Painting Your Hands

Take a black sheet of chart paper and place it on the table. Now, taking an ample amount of white paint, color your entire left hand using a paintbrush or you can simply pour some paint on a mixing palette and dip your hand in it. Color all five fingers as well as the palm.

Step 2: Stamping on the Sheet of Paper

Stamp your painted left hand in the middle of the sheet of paper with your thumb at the top. See the picture below for reference.

Step 3: Painting the Thumb Further

Dip the paintbrush in white paint and make extend the end of the thumb impression by making a curve resembling the bent head of the swan. It should bear the same dimensions as the thumb. Using the same paint curve the edges of the stroke you just made make it look like the round head of the swan. See the picture below for reference.

Step 4: Painting the Beak of the Swan

Take some red paint on the paintbrush and paint a conical shape in front of the head. It should be painted on the black sheet but still look connected to the head. This shall serve as the beak of the swan. See the picture below for reference.

Step 5: Painting the Lake

Take some blue paint on the paintbrush and start making strokes of dotted lines beneath the swan on the bottom left side as shown in the picture below. Also, take a single googly eye and with the help of glue, paste it in the middle of the head of the swan.

Step 6: Painting the Entire Lake

Take some more blue paint and make the dotted line strokes you painted earlier on the entire black sheet beneath the swan. Also, take some white paint onto the paintbrush and start making the same dotted line strokes in the spaces between the blue dotted lines as shown in the picture below. This will make the lake look like it’s reflecting the moonlight.

Finally, Handprint Swan Craft is Ready!!

Take some yellow paint onto the paintbrush and paint a circle on the top left side of the black sheet. Paint the circle with the same color. This will serve as the moon in this craft.

This completes today’s tutorial and we are left with a beautiful swan art. You can hang it on the walls of your room or paste it into your art book. You can also submit it to your class as an art project.
