For a fun preschool letter matching game, learn how to construct this charming Feed the Monster Box!
Make a cute monster by drawing and cutting it out. It should be pasted on the cereal box. For the mouth, make a large hole. Then, below the monster, cut a little rectangle. On each side of the rectangle, cut two slits.
Insert a strip of paper into the slits. Secure the ends of the paper strip together so that it creates a loop around the box. On the strip of paper, write the letters from A to Z.

Make this a fun activity with your kids!

Step 1: Using the flap of a cardboard box, cut three squares/rectangles. Check to see if they’re all the same size. Our geoboard was an 8.5in × 6.5in a rectangle in the end. My spotting abilities aren’t always the most dependable. So…you know how eyeballing a square turned out. It’s not a huge deal. Regardless, it will be used.
Step 2: Glue the three parts together with hot glue. This prevents the push pins from poking items, fingers, or hands through the opposite side. Eek!
Step 3: Using the push pins, secure the board. We created a 55-point geoboard.

From your scrap card, cut six square panels. Cut out one and use it as a pattern to trace five more to get them all the same size. You can use our downloadable pattern to create the original square or measure and cut one to your desired size. Each corner must be absolutely square in order for the piece to fit together properly. Fold the box into a cube form, taping the interior for extra strength. To adhere the last panel to the wall. Placed tape on each of the three opposing surfaces of the panel and pressed it down — a little tricky but doable. You should now have a cardboard cube, and all you have to do now is reinforce the sides with more duct tape on the outside and add the coloured dots. Cut the numerals one through six in different colors with your hole punch and put them on with a glue stick.
