Procedure
Step 1: Drawing the Tree Trunk
Let’s begin the craft by taking white paper. Cut a big circle out of it. Then, take a brown marker and draw a trunk-like structure as shown above.
Step 2: Applying Glue to the Upper Part of the Leaves
Thereafter, for the leaves part, apply a generous amount of glue to the upper portion of the circle above the trunk as shown in the image above.
Step 3: Gathering Materials and Crushing the Leaves
Gather all the materials needed for this craft project. Make sure you have enough leaves in various colors to create a vibrant tree. Next, use smaller leaves in different colors to create the foliage of the tree. To do so, crush the leaves into smaller parts as directed in the image above.
Step 4: Arranging and Gluing the Smaller Leaves
Arrange the smaller leaves along the drawn trunk, sticking them onto the paper with the glue. Be creative with the placement. Try overlapping leaves and use varying colors to achieve a realistic look.
Step 5: Adding Crushed Leaves to the Lower Part of the Trunk
Next, we are going to add the crushed leaves to the lower part of the trunk. Apply a generous amount of glue below the tree trunk.
Step 6: Adding Creative Elements
Crush the dry leaves into small pieces and paste them near the base of the trunk. And that’s it, we are done with the trunk and the leaves part. But wait, a few things are missing. We guess you are aware that we always have some ideas ready for you. So, like always, let’s add some creative elements to make our craft more meaningful.
Step 7: Creating a Creature Beside the Trunk
In this step, we will create a creature beside the trunk as shown. To make the same, use a single leaf and glue it beside the trunk. For reference, we have attached an image just above it. You can have a look to see how it’s done.
Step 8: Adding Googly Eyes
Once it is pasted, to make it look more defined, add googly eyes to it. This step adds depth and definition to the creature we created.
Step 9: Adding Legs to the Insect
In this step, use a black sketch pen and add legs to the beautiful insect we made.
Step 10: Adding Shimmer with a Golden Glitter Pen
To make your tree craft sparkle, take a gold glitter pen and lightly trace the trunk with some patterns. This will give it a shimmering effect and enhance its visual appeal.
