Mini House Popsicle Stick Craft Tutorial For Kids

Easy Mini House Popsicle Stick Craft

Materials Required

• Pack Of Popsicle Sticks (Colored And Simple)
• Craft Cutter
• Hot Glue Gun
• Toothpicks
• Pencil

Procedure

Step 1: Taking Packs Of Popsicle Sticks

Begin this craft by taking a pack of colored popsicle sticks and another pack of simple popsicle sticks.

Step 2: Cutting Out The Popsicle Sticks Ends

Take 10 simple popsicle sticks and arrange them one below the other horizontally and using a craft knife, cut the curved edges of  5 popsicle stick one by one alternatively.

Step 3: Applying Hot Glue

Using the hot glue gun, apply hot glue on the ends of the popsicle sticks vertically.

Step 4: Sticking 2 Popsicle Sticks Over Hot Glue

Using the craft cutter, cut out the curved ends of 2 popsicle sticks and paste them onto the applied hot glue vertically. This will be a wall of your house.

Step 5: Carving Out A Gate

Using a pencil, draw a gate, 6 popsicle sticks long as shown in the image, and using scissors, cut it out to make the gate in the wall.

Step 6: Making All 4 Walls

Following the same procedure as before, make 3 more walls of your house using popsicle sticks. Also, carve a square window over a wall. Make sure to cut out the ends of alternative popsicle sticks on each wall so that they can align with each other using the craft cutter.

Step 7: Sticking 2 Walls Together

In a perpendicular way, stick 2 walls together as shown in the image.

Step 8: Making A Box

Stick the other 2 walls together as well to enclose all of them into a box.

Step 9: Making The Roof

In the same way, you made the walls, make 2 slabs for the roof using the colored popsicle sticks, arranged in a rainbow color manner. Now, stick the 2 slabs of the roof slantingly and secure them with hot glue.

Step 10: Attaching A Door

Stick the cut-out popsicle sticks to carve the door using hot glue and using a toothpick, and make the handle by pasting 2 small pieces perpendicularly over the unstuck side of it one below the other, and a larger toothpick piece over the 2 pieces using hot glue as shown in the image. Now, stick the door in its carving using hot glue only from one side of it.

Step 11: Making The Frame Of The Door

From two red-colored popsicle sticks, cut out half-half the popsicle sticks slantingly and a middle piece of stick with opposite slanting ends. Paste these 3 pieces by keeping the curved-edge ones on the sides to make the frame of the door as shown in the image. Using hot glue, stick this frame over the boundary of the door over the wall.

Step 12: Making The Window

Cut out 4 small pieces with opposite slanting ends, 2 from purple and 2 from orange-colored popsicle sticks. Paste all 4 together to make a square frame of the window, keeping the same colors on opposite sides. Paste 2 pieces of the toothpick in the window carving to make a ‘+’ in it as it partition. Now, paste the frame over the wall on the boundary of the window.

Step 13: Sticking The Roof Over The Walls

Using the hot glue gun, stick the roof over the box of walls as shown in the image.

For the last step, place your mini house in a cool popsicle stick garden you can make using popsicle sticks, foam sheets, and super clay.
