Materials Required

• Popsicle Sticks
• Hot Glue Gun
• Plastic Rubber Bands
• Scissors
• Plastic Bottle Cap
• Craft Needle
• Wooden Stick

Procedure

Step 1: Taking A Bottle Cap

Start by taking a plastic bottle cap.

Step 2: Cutting Out 2 Triangles

Using scissors, cut out 2 triangles from the curved boundary of the cap. Make sure to make cutouts right opposite to each other.

Step 3: Pasting The Cap Over A Popsicle Stick

Using hot glue, paste the bottle cap on the top half of the popsicle stick. Make sure to keep the cutouts over the stick.

Step 4: Making Holes On Another Popsicle Stick

Using a craft needle, make holes on each side of another popsicle stick as shown in the image.

Step 5: Pasting The Popsicle Sticks Together

Using hot glue, paste the holed popsicle stick from behind the bottle cap stick. Make sure to stick it in a cross manner and right behind the bottle cap.

Step 6: Pasting A Wooden Stick Piece

Cut out a small piece of wooden stick using scissors and using hot glue paste it to the below end of the bottle cap.

Step 7: Securing A Popsicle Stick Arrow With Rubber Band

Cut out a small arrow from the popsicle stick using scissors. Place the arrow over the wooden stick to bend it ahead. Now, using a plastic rubber band tie knots over the bent part of the arrow to secure it over the stick downwards.

Step 8: Working The Holder

This arrow will be a holder and push it from behind to check if it’s making a see-saw-like structure.

Step 9: Cutting Out A Plastic Rubber Band

Using scissors, cut open a plastic rubber band.

Step 10: Securing The Rubber Band Into The Popsicle Stick Holes

Put the ends of the rubberband into the horizontal stick holes and from behind the stick, stick the ends using hot glue.

Step 11: Stretching The Rubberband To The Holder

Stretch the rubber band from the center to the holder you made at the end of the stick and open the holder and release it to secure the rubberband in it.

Step 12: Inserting A Cotton Bud Into The Bottle Cap

Insert a cotton earbud from the front top triangle hole to the back. This will become the arrow of your bow.

Your Bow And Arrow Craft Is Ready!

Push open the holder to release the rubberband which will give a push to the arrow and see your arrow going straight! What a fun craft!
