Watching the leaves turn brownish, reddish, watching them fall, everything shedding, etc. It makes you realize the fragility of life and the essence of it. Why not preserve it and make something out of it? Here is a step-by-step tutorial of Fall leaves fun Hedgehog craft for kids. Follow the instructions and you will have this amazing and adorable hedgehog made out of fall leaves. Now you will just need to flip a page and scorch this hedgehog to feel the fall again!

Materials Required

• A brown cardboard
• Some red fall leaves (somewhere around ten)
• A pair of Scissors
• Glue
• A light green sketch pen
• A pink or red sketch pen
• A black sketch pen or a black marker
• Clay pieces (White, Black, Blue, Pink, Green, Yellow, Red)

Procedure

Step 1: Taking A Piece Of Cardboard And Cutting Into A Semi – Circle

Take a piece of brown cardboard. First, draw a circle and cut it. Then, cut a semi-circle out of it. Making the circle first and semi-circle next, just makes it an easier task and helps to be exact and precise.

Step 2: Drawing On This Cardboard As Suggested In The Image

Using a black sketch pen or a marker, draw a wave as suggested in the reference image above.

Step 3: Grabbing A Pair Of Scissors And Cut Along The Boundary

Using a pair of scissors, cut along the boundary of the wave that you made in the previous step.

Step 4: Making The Nose And Eye Of The Hedgehog Using Clay

With the help of a black pen or a black marker, now draw a smile. Take some clay pieces of black and white colors. Make the nose from the black one and the eye from the white one, with a little black dot upon it. Make sure you do not apply excessive pressure on the clay so that it completely compresses.

Step 5: Applying Some Glue On The Upper Side Of The Cardboard

Get your glue bottle and put some glue on the upper side of the cardboard.

Step 6: Now, Get Those Red Fall Leaves And Paste Them On The Glue

Now, before the glue dries, take a red fall leaf and stick it on the glue as shown in the image above. You need to be a little quick as you do not want the glue to dry.

Step 7: Pasting All The Leaves In An Order

Now get more of those fall leaves and paste them in an arrangement as projected in the reference picture above.

Step 8: Making Some Colorful Clay Balls And Decorating Them On Head

Get some more clay pieces, this time, of different colors, like, pink, yellow, blue, white, etc. Make little dot-like, equal circles of them and decorate and embellish the head of the hedgehog. They kind of look like ornaments.

Step 9: Drawing Some Grass Using Green Sketch Pen

Add more colors to the clay and repeat the previous step. Decorate in any way you like, with color shades of your own choice. Grab a light green colored sketch pen and make grass. The technique to make grass here is that you need to make little, tiny strokes from a singular point. Using a pink or a red sketch pen, also make some flowers. Here as well, you will use the same stroking technique, just a little more miniature version of the grass one.
