It is very important for kids to know about space and the solar system. And it is the responsibility of the parents to let them understand what all the heavenly bodies are. Space is a substantial ‘element’ just like a ship which is surrounded by water bodies and it curves around planets, satellites, moons, etc.

Space Flashcards
The sheet given below has elements like Rocket, Earth Sun, Stars, Galaxy, Moon, Satellite, and Comet. Keep the concept simple and in the prospect of a child’s mindset. This flashcard will help the kid work on his vocabulary, the spellings, and the meaning of all these space bodies. The most prominent thing about learning about the solar system is that there is so much neat knowledge, also the kid always learns something different because it’s such an enormous topic. Even for experts, it’s a never-ending tale of wonder.
The first element is Rocket– A rocket is a long bullet shape, satellite, spacecraft, or some other transport which is driven by a rocket motor. Rockets are also used for fireworks and as weaponry and to command progress in the solar system.
Earth
The Earth is the planet where we all live. Here are some interesting facts for your kid- It takes the Earth 365 days to complete a full move around the Sun. Every revolution takes 24 hours to finish. The rotations lead us to have day and night experiences depending upon which side of Earth is facing towards the sun.
Sun
Sun is actually is a super-sized Star. It is as big as any planet or orbit in the entire Universe. The Sun produces the light, with which we are able to see during the daytime. And earth is relatively close to the sun. So we experience a bit more.
Stars
Stars are made of dust and gas. They come in many different shapes and sizes, but on Earth, we see them in small pieces. It is also said that it takes millions of years for light from stars to reach the Earth.

Galaxy
A galaxy is a combination of solar systems, which include planets, moons, stars, and much more. There are billions of galaxies in the Universe and each galaxy has an uncountable number of stars.
Moon
The moon orbits the earth, it’s like a satellite that revolves around the earth. And is visible during the nighttime.
Comet
Comets are flowing masses of rock and crystal that circles around the Sun and pass through the central Solar System. One of the most famous comets is Halley’s Comet, which happens once every 75 years.
