Using flashcards is an effective way to help children build language and literacy skills. Flashcards feature learning skills and memorization skills along with the conversation and vocabulary abilities that really encourage early education. Flashcards are often overlooked for learning. What people don’t seem to realize is that these cards develop some basic skills that help the kid to have meaningful conversations in the future.

In this edition, we have brought flashcards relating to the ‘Months of the Year’. Kids need to build these important skills before they are ready to go to school. The first sheet given below has Months like January, February, March, April, May, and June. Apart from telling the names of the months, also tell the kid the number of days in each month that will help him to develop his mental abilities. These daily interplays will help the child make the association between the different months in a calendar year.

When the parents understand that children determine things at different ages, they can set practical aims for the young energetic kids. Such aims lead children to elaborate early education skills that will last a lifetime. Children between the ages of 3 and 6 years begin to notice the various things around them. These flashcards help them to do so.

The next sheet has months like July, August, September, October, November, and December. In order to make things interesting for the child, explain the different seasons at different times of the year. For example- Winter happens in the month of November to February and Summers from April to September. These flashcards will help your kid to work on their vocabulary as well, and they will end up knowing how to correctly pronounce the name of the month.

The more the parents show the kids flashcards, the simpler it will be for them to memorize what was on it later. Children are keen spectators, if the parents ask them questions as to what was on each flashcard, the parents will be amazed at how much their child remembers. Sometimes if they are having trouble estimating what information the card is presenting to them, the parents should help them understand that information. Even if the child does not answer every question, they are still gripping in the knowledge and working on it. So if the parents believe their child is not acquiring any information at all, they might be underestimating their kid.
