Cat Catching Fish Step-by-step Art Tutorial For Kids

Materials Required

• A white sheet of paper
• Watercolors
• Paint brushes of different sizes
• Googly eyes

Procedure

Step 1: Starting  With The White Sheet Of Paper

Take a white sheet of paper and cut a circle out of it. Placing the sheet on the paper make a circle in the middle of the sheet using some mustard paint with the help of paint brush. Now, paint the circle with the same paint. The circle should be a medium-sized one. Finally, connect this circle with the circumference at the bottom with a thick line on the left side of the head. Use the same paint to do that. See the picture below for reference.

Step 2: Making  The Body Of The Cat

Make a similar line on the right side of the head and paint the area in between with the same paint. Finally, taking some more mustard paint on the brush, make two ears at the top of the head of the cat. See the picture below for reference.

Step 3: Making  The Paws Of The Cat

Make two arms on both sides of the cat’s body. Make three paws at the ends of each arm. See the picture below for reference.

Step 4: Pasting The Googly Eyes

Let the painting dry completely before painting the middle section of the ears of this cat with some red paint. Now, using the same paint, make three horizontal lines on each side of the face of the cat. Finally, paste two googly eyes on the face right next to each other. See the picture below for reference.

Step 5: Adding A Nose To The Face

Take a thin brush and paint a small oval shape tight in the middle of the face of this cat. See the picture below for reference.

Step 6: Adding Some Whiskers

Using the same paint, make a small mouth right below the nose while being connected to it with a line. Now, draw three big whiskers on each side of the face. Then, draw four vertical lines on the top side of the face of this cat. Finally, taking a thicker brush paint the belly of the cat pink using pink paint. See the picture below for reference.

Step 7: Painting Some Fishes On The Sheet

Taking some red paint on a thin brush, paint a small fish right above the head of the cat. Now, paint some pink dots on each paw of the cat as shown in the picture below.

Finally, Cat Catching Fish Is Ready

Paint two more redfish on the right side of the fish that you painted in the previous step. And paint three red fishes around the left side of the fish that you painted in the previous step. Now, let the paintings dry out before making a small dot in the front of each fish as shown in the picture below. We now have seven fishes above the head of the cat who is trying hard to catch them.

This completes the process of making this tutorial and we are left with an amazing cat and fish painting. You took a lot of liberties in making this craft like the fishes flying in the sky and the cat having a pink belly. This freedom of improvisation could only be achieved through craft.
