Materials Required
- Blue Craft Paper
- Skin, Purple, Pink, Orange, And Green Clay
- A Clay Stamp
- Clay Shaping Tool
- Googly Eyes
- Red And Black Sketch Pen
- Scissors
Procedure
Step 1: Make The First Monster With Skin-Coloured Clay
Before you start off with your clay craft, you need to make the base paper on which you will decorate your craft. From a piece of blue craft paper, cut out a big circle. Once that is done, take your first piece of clay, which is skin-colored clay, and squish and roll it into a ball.
Step 2: Placing The Clay Onto The Paper
Place this clay ball onto the center of the paper. Press it down using a clean clay stamp. Make sure to not press it to much and make it a thin layer. The clay should still have a little thick layer.
Step 3: Shaping The Clay
Pick up your clay shaping tool and with the thin end make small cuts around the edge of the whole clay circle. The cuts should be inwards and make sure to not cut the clay off. The body of your clay monster is ready!
Step 4: Attaching The Eyes Of The Clay Monster
Stick two googly eyes on the monster. Stick them at a convenient distance to make them look neat and cute.
Step 5: Drawing The Facial Features Of The Clay Monster
You will now grab your red sketch pen, and draw a small triangle mouth on the monster, under its eyes. Add two blush marks on either side as well to make it look cute.
Step 6: Drawing The Hands And Legs Of The Clay Monster
Next, grab your black sketch pen and proceed to draw two long legs and long arms for the monster. Make them wavy and squiggly. At the end of each arm and leg draw a circle two signify its feet and hands.
Step 7: Making More Monsters
Once you are done with your first monster, go ahead and make four more monsters using your other colored clays. Repeat the previous steps and give the monsters funky expressions and dancing legs and hands.
Step 8: Making The Dancing Monster
For any one of your monsters, like the purple one in the picture, give it dancing legs and hands. Draw the legs and arms in such a manner that it looks like the monster is dancing!
Step 9: Adding In The Final Touches
Once all your monsters are done and ready, using a black sketch pen make small confetti-like spirals around your monsters. Cover the blue circle with this confetti. Make sure to space them out well and not make them too crowded. Finally, press down on each clay monster to make sure they are attached well to the paper.
