Easy Frog Puppet Toy Craft Using Paper Cup For Kids

Materials Required

•  A paper cup
• A knife scalpel
• A stapler
• A green coloured sheet of paper
• A pencil
• A white coloured sheet of paper
• A black coloured  crayon or sketch pen
• A straw

Procedure

Step 1: Take A Paper Cup

Firstly, take a paper cup, which is easily available and accessible in and around your house. Then using a pencil, create a small square close to the brim of the cup.

Step 2: Cut The Design Using Knife Scalpel

Next, take the knife scalpel and cut that small square out of the cup. Make sure to take necessary precautions and supervision of an adult while using the knife scalpel.

Step 3: Cut The Base Of The Cup Too

Next, take a few centimetres below the base of the cup and using the pencil again, create a crease around it. Then take the scalpel again and cut the crease. Make sure that some part of the cup is left uncut, around three to four centimetres.

Step 4: Separate The Base From The Rest Of The Cup

Next, after cutting, separate the base from the rest of the cup as shown in the image below.

Step 5: Insert A Straw Through The Opening

For this step, take a straw and insert it through the square cut you previously made.

Step 6: Staple The Other Side Of The Straw

Now, bring the straw closer to the base cutout of the cup and attach them together using a stapler.

Step 7: Secure The Whole Design Properly

Secure the whole design properly and make necessary adjustments, if required.

Step 8: Make Two Cuts On The Base

For this step, take the scalpel once again, and make two cuts as shown in the image below.

Step 9: Insert Eye Cutouts In The Cuts

Next, take the frog eye cutouts and insert both these cutouts in the respective openings.  The procedure to make eye cutouts is a simple one, take a green coloured sheet of paper and cut it into two small shapes of magnifying glass, then take a white coloured sheet of paper and cut two small circles out of it. Paste the circles on the green cutout and using a black colour, create a big circle leaving an area for two circles white and uncoloured and also create a black outline.
