Easy Octopus With Grass Strips Craft Tutorial

Materials Required

• Colored Paper Sheets (White, Red, And Pink)
• Black and Blue Sketch Pens
• Double-Sided Tape
• Scissors
• Pencil
• Artificial Grass Strips

Procedure

Step 1: Making A Spiral Over The Tape In The Circle

Begin this craft by taking a white paper sheet as the base for the craft and a pencil. Using the pencil, draw a circle over the paper and then apply layers of double-sided tape in the circle to cover it wholely. Remove the peel of the tape and paste an end of an artificial grass strip and start making a spiral over it closely.

Step 2: Completing The Spiral On The Circle

One by one use artificial grass strips to complete the spiral till you cover the whole circle. This will be the body of your octopus.

Step 3: Making The Tentacles Of The Octopus

Using scissors, cut out 2 long strips from the artificial grass strip and using the double-sided tape paste them underneath the body of the octopus to make its 8 tentacles.

Step 4: Pasting Eyes To The Octopus

Cut out 2 circles from white paper using scissors and using a black sketch pen, color out the circle as shown in the image to make the eyes of the octopus, and using double-sided tape, paste them side by side onto the circle body at the upper half.

Step 5: Making Mouth And Blush On The Octopus

Using scissors, cut out a hollow circle from red paper and 2 small circles from pink paper. Using double-sided tape, paste the red one below and in between the eyes over the body to make the mouth of the octopus. Paste the 2 pink circles on both sides of the mouth to make the blush on the octopus’s cheeks.

For the last step, cut out very small circles from the red paper and paste them onto the tentacles line by line by leaving some space using the double-sided tape to detail them. Using a blue sketch pen, draw bubbles on the white base as shown in the image.
