We have come up with some new concepts in art and craft. Today’s activities are all about wind chimes. Wind chimes not only enhance the beauty of the room but also gives a calm, soothing view. Moreover, the melodious sounds produced by them help go to reduce stress. When the breeze wind touches the wind chime, it creates an attractive sound and is loved by everyone.

Windchime Crafts For Kids

Multi-colored Wind Chime

  • Materials required: Buttons, thread, punching machine, plastic lid, cardboard, drilling machine.
  • Difficulty level: Easy
  • Suitable age: 10- 13 years

Take the plastic lid and make holes using a drilling machine. Take a cardboard and cut it into circular shapes and punch the circles using a punching machine. Now take a thread and pass some buttons and circular cardboard pieces through it. Hang these thread strands into the holes in the plastic lid. Now hang it on your window.

Cd Shining Wind Chime

  • Materials required: CDs, thread, coffee lids.
  • Difficulty level: Very Easy
  • Suitable age: 9-12 years

Take some CDs and colour them. Take the coffee lid and make some holes in it using a drilling machine. Now pass the thread through the holes of the CD and keep it hanging with the coffee lid by passing the thread holding CDs into the hole of the coffee lid.

  • Suitable age:9-12 years

Take a plastic bottle and cut it at the bottom with the help of scissors. Now make holes in the bottle with the help of a drilling machine. Take a thread and fill it with beads and buttons. Now take these thread strands containing buttons, beads and Hang them by passing them through the holes of the bottle.

Take a disposable glass and punch holes in it using a punching machine. Now take a thread and pass beads in it. Take this strand containing beads and pass it through the hole of the glass and tie a knot from inside so that strands hang.

Take some egg holders and drill holes in them using a drilling machine, pass one single thread through all the holes and let it hang like a wind chime.

Beads Wind Chime

  • Materials required: Metallic wire,  plastic circular pieces, beads, drilling machine, pliers.
  • Difficulty level: Easy
  • Suitable age:10- 13 years

Melt some plastic in the oven by keeping plastic in some circle-shaped container. After melting plastic, let them dry so that they become circular rigid small plates. Make holes in them by drilling them. Take a metallic wire and pass beads into them and also the plastic plates. Now, with the help of some pliers attach these bead containing wires with the circular wire by twisting the wire.

  • Materials required: Heart-shaped baking tray, beads, super glue, ribbon, twigs.
  • Difficulty level: Very Easy
  • Suitable age:  8-13 years

Take some beads and fill them in a heart-shaped baking tray and bake it for a few mins, so that they will melt. Once the beads are in a molten state, let them cool so that they solidify in the heart shape. With the help of superglue, paste these hearts with the ribbon and let this ribbon hang on the twig.

Take some metallic lids and drill some holes in them. Pass all the accessories like buttons, beads etc in the Metallic wires and keep these metallic wires in holes in the lid. Let this lid hang with the help of some metallic chains.

Take two embroidery hoops, one big and another medium. Wrap both of them with jute yarn. Now tie keys with the jute yarn and let jute strands hang on both hoops.

Take craft foam sheets of different colours and cut them in the form of circles as shown in the image. Now pass the metallic wire through the center of the circular foams and knot it tightly. Make such many thread strands containing foam sheets. Take a cardboard roll and hang all these metallic strands on this roll.
