Materials Required

• Yellow Paper Cup
• Blue Paper Sheet
• Scissors
• Glue
• Craft Tweezer
• Black Marker
• Toothpicks
• Plastic Rubber Band
• Pencil

Procedure

Step 1: Marking Outlines On Paper Cup

To begin this craft, take a yellow paper cup and a pencil. Using the pencil, make a more than half-straight line on the vertical part of the cup, and from the top of it make a horizontal line around the cup back to where you see the straight line from the other side as shown in the image.

Step 2: Taking Scissors To Cut

Take a pair of scissors to cut the markings over the cup.

Step 3: Cutting Out The Markings

Using the scissors, cut the pencil markings over the paper cup.

Step 4: Cutting Out The Extra Part

Fold the cut-out part of the cup from behind it and then using scissors, cut the extra part coming out of the cup intact part.

Step 5: Bending The Circle Base

Bend the circle base of the cup to the front i.e. over the cup strip.

Step 6: Making A Hole In The Base

Using a toothpick, make a hole in the center of the circle base.

Step 7: Inserting A Rubber Band

Insert a plastic/safety rubber band in the hole.

Step 8: Securing The Band With Stick

Take a small stick piece of a toothpick and insert it into the band to secure it over the hole of the base.

Step 9: Pasting A Fan Wing

From the paper cup cut-out piece, cut a curved edge fan wing and paste it over one side of the stick of rubber band using glue.

Step 10: Pasting All The Fan Wings

Cut out 3 more fan wings the same way described previously and paste them over the wooden stick using glue and make a ‘+’ shaped fan over the circular base as shown in the image.

Step 11: Pasting A Blue Circle

From blue paper, cut out a small circle using scissors and paste the circle in the center of the fan using glue and craft tweezers.

Step 12: Pasting Numbered Circle

Cut out 3 more circles from the blue paper and using a black marker, mark the circles with 1, 2, and 3. Now, one by one paste the numbered circles over the cup strip respectively one below the other by holding them from a craft tweezer and pasting using glue.

Step 13: Tying A Knot Of The Rubber Band

Turn the whole figure to the back and tie a knot of the rubber band from behind.

Step 14: Inserting A Stick In The Rubber Band

Insert again a stick from the toothpick into the knot of the rubber band.

Step 15: Twisting The Rubber Band From The Stick

Rotate the stick to twist the rubber band.

Step 16: Turning Back The Fan

Hold the twisted rubber band and turn back your fan craft.
