DIY Paper Mouse Craft To Make With Kids

This craft tutorial is for beginners and little kids who are looking for crafts to learn basics of art and craft.  It requires basic craft skills and easily available material to make. It can be the first step you take in the your long journey of art and craft. It will teach you make a small mouse using sheets of paper. So, collect all the material required and let’s go.

Material Required

• A black, a pink and a white sheets of chart paper.
• Masking tape
• A glue stick
• A pair of scissors

Procedure

Step 1: Starting with a black sheet of paper

Take a black sheet of paper and cut a long and wide strip out of it as shown in the picture below. Now, take a piece of masking tape and stick it vertically on the bottom end of this strip. Finally, peel the tape off .

Step 2: Folding the strip

Fold the strip from the top and paste this top to the sticky bottom. Do not mark the fold in the middle, it should be left as it is,i.e, with an open circle space in between the fold as shown in the picture below.

Step 3: Pasting two circles on this strip

Take a black sheet of paper and cut two circles out of it. Now, cut out two slightly smaller circles out of a pink sheet of paper and paste them on the black circle each. Finally, paste the them on the folded strip a little below the top fold, right next to each other as shown in the picture below.

Step 4:Pasting two eyes on the strip

Take a white sheet of paper and cut two smaller circles out and make a smaller circle in the middle of both the circles. Now, make an even smaller circle at the top left side of the circles drawn and colour the circle you drew first leaving the smallest circle inside uncoloured. Finally, paste the two circles next to each other right below the ears of the mouse  as shown in the picture below.

Step 5: Cutting some strips out of white sheet of paper

Take a white sheet of paper and cut long and thin strips out of it. You need to cut three strips in total. Now, paste one of the strip at the bottom section of the black folded strip. Paste the strip horizontally, starting from the top left side of the section slanting towards the bottom right side of the same section as shown in the picture below.

Step 6: Pasting rest of the two strips

Take another strip and paste it in the same bottom section horizontally, starting from the top right side of the section slanting towards the bottom left side of the same section, forming a multiplication cross with the previous strip. Paste the final strip horizontally crossing the intersection formed by the two strips of the cross, as shown in the picture below.

Step 7:Pasting a pink circular sheet

Take a pink sheet of paper and cut a small circle out of it. Now, paste the circle right on the intersection of the white strips. See the picture below for reference.

Step 8: Pasting the tail to the body

Take a black sheet of paper and cut a very thin and long conical strip out of it. Paste the strip on the back of the fold in the middle of the big black strip,i.e, the body of the mouse. Follow the picture below for reference.

This completes the tutorial of making this lovely mouse with its whiskers, ears, eyes and a long tail.
