DIY Easy Yellow Paper Fish Craft Tutorial For Kids

Materials Required

• Craft Paper (Yellow, Black, White)
• Thin double-sided tape
• Pencil
• Ruler
• Scissors
• Glue

Procedure

Step 1: Take A Yellow Craft Paper And Make Lines

The first step is to take a yellow coloured craft paper. Cut the yellow coloured craft paper in a rectangle shape with the help of scissors. Then, take a pencil and a ruler. First make an elongated line along the length of the rectangle, then, make  a straight lines against the length of the rectangle which you have made. Take a gap of 1.5cm between each lines as shown in the picture.

Step 2: Cut The Straight Lines With Scissors

Now, with the help of scissors, cut the straight lines which you have made from ruler and pencil leaving a gap of 1.5cm each. Remember to cut only till where you have made an elongated line of the rectangle with pencil.

Step 3: Stick Thin Double Sided Tape

After cutting the lines from scissors, fold the rectangular yellow coloured craft paper. Then, take a double sided tape and stick on one side of the length of the rectangle as shown in the picture.

Step 4: Stick The Two Sides Of The Rectangle

Now, stick the two sides of the rectangle by joining the other side of the rectangle to the part where you have stuck the thin double sided tape. After sticking, you will get a cylindrical shape.

Step 5: Press The Cylindrical Shape Inwards

After joining the two sides of the rectangle with the help of thin double sided tape, press the cylindrical shape after joining inwards from both sides as shown.

Step 6: Cut Three Triangles From Yellow Craft Paper

Now, with the help of yellow coloured craft paper and scissors, cut two triangles. Then, take one of the yellow coloured triangle and cut that triangle from the middle. You will get two triangles with 90⁰ angle. Remember to cut the triangle exactly from middle otherwise, you will not get similar triangles. Now, total you have three yellow coloured triangles.

Step 7: Make Folds On The Big Yellow Triangle

Now, take the biggest yellow coloured triangle of all the three triangles. Make folds on the biggest yellow coloured triangle of the three. Make folds like how to make in chinese fan or you can refer to the image.

Step 8: Join Both Corners Of The Folded Triangle

Now, with the help of the glue, join both the corners of the yellow coloured craft paper as shown in the picture.

Step 9: After Sticking It Will Give You Leaf Like Shape

After sticking the yellow coloured craft paper corners with the help of glue, it will form a shape of leaf as shown.

Step 10: Make Five More Leaf Like Shape With Yellow Craft Paper

Repeat the same process of making leaf like shape with the help of yellow coloured craft paper. Make five more leaf like shape from yellow coloured craft paper.Y he big ones you have to make from the same size yellow coloured craft paper and the two small ones you have to make from the 90⁰ angle yellow coloured craft paper which you had cut in the earlier step. So, now you will have three big leaf like shape and two small leaf like shape. Total you should have five yellow coloured leaf like shape. Then, stick all three big leaf like shape together as shown in the picture with the help of glue.

Step 11: Make Eyes Of The Fish

Now, take black coloured craft paper and white coloured craft paper. Make two circle shape from white coloured craft paper. Stick the white coloured circles on top of yellow cylinderical shape with the help of glue. Then, take black coloured craft paper and make two circles. Remember to make the black circle little smaller in size than the white coloured circle. Stick the two black coloured circles on the each of the white coloured circles with the help of glue. Now, make two small circles with the help of white coloured craft paper and stick it on the each of the black coloured craft circle by using glue. Remember this white coloured circles should be very small compared to the first white coloured circles and black coloured circles.

Step 12: Stick The Small Leaf Like Shape On The Yellow Cylinderical Shape

Now, take the small yellow leaf like shape which you made earlier. Stick the small yellow leaf like shape on both sides of the yellow coloured cylinderical shape with the help of glue.

Then, take the three big yellow leaf like shape which you have stuck together. Stick the big yellow leaf like shapes on the bottom of the yellow cylinderical shape with the help of glue.

Finally, Your craft is ready

Finally, your cute fish is ready to play with you. You know what the best part is this fish does not need water to survive.
