These are 15 activities you should definitely try with your kids. These will help your kids in learning new things and will also enhance their knowledge. Try out these games with your kids and guide them in a fun way.
Educational Fun Activities for Kids
Activity 1: Subtraction activity
Materials required:
- Papers
- Pens
- Ice cream sticks
- scissor
- glue
- color
Steps:
- Take a paper and cut out a few U shapes.
- Now draw an inner lining of U shape and color it.
- Take a marker and write down the numbers on them and for the answers cut the end separately.
- Now take the ice cream sticks and apply double-sided tapes on them and paste the answers at the bottom.
- Let your kids choose the correct sum and put that on the stick.
Activity 2: Addition activity
Materials required:
- Papers
- scissor
- glue
- pen
- marker
- ice cream sticks
Steps:
- Take a few ice cream sticks and cut them in half.
- Now with the help of the marker write down the numbers on the sticks.
- Take papers and cut out a few Christmas tree shapes and then apply glue at the side of it and paste 2 of them together.
- Take another paper and cut out small circles and paste them on the tree.
- Now according to the stick number find the circles on the tree and put the stick inside the paper.
Activity 3: Clock activity
Materials required:
- Paper plates
- papers
- sketch pens
- scissor
- glue
- plastic screw
Steps:
- Take a paper plate and write 1-12 and then cut the sides as shown.
- Now take another plate and write down the table of 5 up to 60.
- Take the previous plate and put it above the other plate.
- Now take 2 papers and cut out 2 arrows and with the help of the plastic screw fix them.
Activity 4: Matching shapes
Materials required:
- Paper glasses
- papers
- glue
- scissor
- colors
- pen
Steps:
- Take some paper glasses and put them upside down.
- Now take a paper and draw each shape 2 times and color them.
- Take the scissor and cut the shapes out and paste them on the backside of the glasses.
- Now let your kid choose the shape and gather them together.
Activity 5: Matching colors
Materials required:
- Cardboard
- Colors
- Pen
- Scissor
Steps:
- Take 4 rectangular pieces of cardboard.
- Then take 2 pieces and with the help of the paint, paint them.
- Now take another 2 pieces and draw 5 circles in each piece.
- Then take the scissor and leaving the 1 circle cut the remaining ones.
- Take a marker and draw the face and antenna of the caterpillar.
- Now put it on top of the painted cardboard.
- Take a few bottle caps and paper and paint the papers as painted before in the cardboards.
- Now cut the painted papers in circle shapes and paste them on the top of the bottle caps.
- Let your kid choose the correct color and put them on the top of the cardboard.
Activity 6: Matching shapes and numbers
Materials required:
- Papers
- Scissor
- Pen
- Colors
Steps:
- Take a paper and draw vertical and horizontal lines on it.
- Now at the top draw the shapes and at the side write down the numbers.
- Take the paper and cut out the above shapes 4 times and write down the numbers inside it.
- Now let your kids choose the correct shapes and numbers and arrange them accordingly.
Activity 7: Counting activity
Materials required:
- Cardboard
- sketch pens
- scissor
- marker
- paper clips
- paper
- glue
Steps:
- Take a cardboard and cut out a circle.
- Now take a marker and divide it into 8 parts.
- Take the sketch pens and draw stars in each part from 1 to 8.
- Now take a paper and write down numbers from 1 to 8 and cut them out.
- Take the glue and paste them on the paper clips.
- Now as per the stars put the exact number clip on it.
Activity 8: Rotate the glass
Materials required:
- paper glasses
- paint
- marker
- scissor
Steps:
- Take a glass and paints.
- Now write down the numbers at the bottom and according to the numbers draw the apples at the top of it.
- Take the paint and paint the glass.
- Take another glass and cut out a tree shape and a circle at the bottom with the help of the scissor as shown.
- Now put the painted paper glass inside the other glass and rotate it and enjoy learning.
Activity 9: Puzzle
Materials required:
- cardboard
- scissor
- marker
- paint
Steps:
- Take a cardboard and draw an octopus.
- Now take the paint and paint the octopus and the remaining cardboard.
- Take the marker and draw the face of the octopus and then write down the numbers on the tentacles.
- Now take the scissor and cut out the remaining parts between each tentacle and write down the numbers in sequence.
- Help your kids in arranging the correct part and number and put it in.
Activity 10: Color arrangement in order
Materials required:
- Colorful paper glasses
- paper
- colors
- marker
Steps:
- Take a paper and draw 3 glasses at the bottom then 2 at the top of that and then 1.
- Now take the colors as per the glasses and color the glasses drawn on the paper.
- Make 2-3 different sequences of color glasses on the paper.
- Take the colorful glasses and put them in a line.
- Now give it to your kid and let them arrange it in order and make the correct color pyramid.
Activity 11: Fill the dots
Materials required:
- paper
- dice
- pen
- sketch pens
Steps:
- Take a paper and a pen and draw dots all over the paper in a sequence.
- Now take a dice and roll it and as per the number take the sketch pen and mark the dots.
- Do this till you are left with the last dot.
Activity 12: Number game
Materials required:
- colorful papers
- scissor
- marker
Steps:
- Take a red color paper and cut out a square shape and write 4 on it.
- Then take a white color paper and cut out 2 rectangular shapes and write 3 on them.
- Now take a blue paper and cut out 4 rectangular shapes and write 2 on them.
- Lastly, take an orange paper and cut out 4 strips and write 1 on them.
- Now let your kid calculate the numbers and arrange them accordingly.
Activity 13: Match the numbers
Materials required:
- papers
- colors
- marker
- scissor
Steps:
- Take a paper and write a number one side and draw toffees on the other side according to the number and color them.
- Now take a scissor and cut it from the middle in a puzzle shape as in the video.
- Do this with all the papers and let the kids arrange all of them together.
Activity 14: Number in order
Materials required:
- cardboard
- papers
- marker
- double sided tapes
Steps:
- Take a cardboard and draw some arrows leaving space in between as shown.
- Now take a paper and cut out circles and write down numbers from 1-10 and apply double sided tape at the backside of each circle.
- Let your kid arrange them in order and paste them accordingly.
Activity 15: Match the numbers and shapes
Materials required:
- Cardboard
- sketch pens
- double sided tape
- scissor
Steps:
- Take a cardboard and draw a tree and paint it.
- Then take double sided tape and paste it all over the tree.
- Now take a cardboard and cut out circles and write down numbers on it.
- Take another cardboard and draw apple shapes and cut them out.
- Now let your kid paste the numbers at the bottom according to that paste the number of apples at the top.
