Materials Required
-
Origami Paper (Red, Black, White)
-
Marker(Black, White)
-
Glue
-
Scissors
Procedure
Step 1: Preparing The Origami Paper
Start with a square sheet of origami paper. If you don’t have one, you can easily make one. Just by folding a rectangular piece of paper diagonally and trimming off the excess.
Step 2: Creating A Star Shape
Fold the paper in half horizontally and vertically. Bring the creases towards the center. This will form a 4-point star-like shape. Ensure the creases are sharp and the star shape is well-defined.
Step 3: Flattening And Folding The Pattern
Step 4: Folding On The Right Side
Fold the paper in half diagonally from one side and then unfold the diagonal folds. This step helps determine the center point of the paper. Now, flip the right side of the paper until the center crease as shown.
Step 5: Creating The Lower Body
Invert the paper. Fold the bottom edge of the triangle upwards, forming a small flap. This will become the lower body portion of our crab.
Step 6: Shaping The Crab’s Body
Take the left corner of the body flap and fold it inwards. Repeat this step with the other side of the crab’s body. Refer to the provided image for guidance.
Step 7: Making The Main Body
Step 8: Getting The Crab’s Body
And here we are! All our steps are done now. Flip the body over and finally, you have created your own origami crab.
