Animal Paper Craft Ideas for Kids

Paper is available at everyone’s home. We have used mostly paper for writing purposes only but we are yet unaware of many DIY uses of paper. If you’re planning some DIY projects and that too on some low budget, then going for papercraft is one of the awesome ideas. Spend a few bucks on buying coloured sheets and glue. These craft plans are easy, cheaper and less time-consuming. Give this a try for these projects and hope you will love it. Animal Paper Craft Ideas for Kids
Cool Rabbits
Difficulty level: Easy
Suitable age: 10-12 years
Materials required
- Coloured Paper,
- Glue
- Sketch pens
- Googly eyes
- Scissors.
Take the green coloured sheet and cut it as shown in the image. Take another sheet of paper and cut it to make grass using scissors. Now get a white sheet of paper and cut strips out of it. Bend them in the form of C- shape And paste them on the green sheet so that C shaped paper bent represents the body and legs of the rabbit.
Take another sheet of white paper and cut two C-shaped curves on one side only. Now bend this strip in such a way so that the curved ends represent the ears of the rabbit and the rest bent side represents the face of the rabbit. Paste googly eyes and draw the nose using a sketch pen.
Caterpillars
Difficulty level: Easy
Suitable age: 10-13 years
Materials required:
- Scissors
- Coloured sheet of paper
- Pencil
- Googly eyes.
Take the coloured sheet of paper and cut different lengths and widths of paper strips out of it. Take the broad width of the paper strip and paste the last two ends so that a circular shape is formed. Now repeat this same process with another strip but this time paste ends in such a way so that the radius of the circle is small than the first one. Now the circle strip with a small radius is pasted over the top of the big-sized circular strip.
Take other paper strips and curl them using a pencil. Just roll the paper over the pencil so that curls are made. Attach the strips with the main body of the caterpillar. Paste the googly eyes and cut the nose out of a coloured sheet and paste it using glue.
Peacocks
Difficulty level: Easy
Suitable age: 8-12 years
Materials required:
- Coloured paper sheets
- Glue
- Googly eyes
- Scissors
Take the broad width of the paper strip and paste the last two ends so that a circular shape is formed. Now repeat this same process with another strip but this time paste ends in such a way so that the radius of the circle is small than the first one. Now the circle strip with a small radius is pasted over the top of the big-sized circular strip. Cut many short length paper strips and paste them one upon another so that the wings of the peacock are represented. Take another sheet of paper and cut claws of the peacock out of it and paste them at the bottom. Paste the googly eyes, nose and tongue using glue.
Multi-Coloured Sun Card
Difficulty level: Easy
Suitable age: 9-12 years
Materials required:
- White sheet of paper
- Coloured paper sheets
- Scissors
- Glue.
Take the white sheet of paper and fold it so that a card is formed as shown in the image. Take some coloured sheets of paper and cut them into strips. Paste the last two ends of each strip using glue so that the sun rays are formed. Now paste these closed strips on the outer two folds of the paper in the circular shape as shown in the picture using glue. Cut two semi-circle shaped papers and paste them over these two sides so that the complete face of the sun is created. Make eyes nose using sketch pens.
Snails
Difficulty level: Very Easy
Suitable age: 9-12 years
Materials required:
- The coloured sheet of paper
- Sketch pens
- Scissors
- Glue.
Take the coloured sheet of paper and cut them in the shape of a leaf. Take another sheet of paper and cut a strip of paper using scissors and roll it so that strip becomes curled. This curled strip will represent the snail. Paste this snail on a leaf using glue. Cut the edges of the strip so that the antennae of the snail are made.
Rabbit and the carrot
Difficulty level: Easy
Suitable age: 9-12 years
Materials required:
- Empty toilet paper rolls
- Coloured sheet of paper
- Beads
- Sketch pen
- Scissors.
Take two Empty Toilet paper rolls and paste them one upon the other in such a way so that we can place a folded small strip of paper using glue. Now cut the triangular shape of paper and paste them so that ears are represented. Make the carrot out of paper. Paste the Googly eyes around the upper Toilet paper roll using glue.
Lion
Difficulty level: Very Easy
Suitable age: 9- 11 years
Materials required:
- Drawing sheet
- Coloured sheets
- Scissors
- Glue
- Googly eyes
- Sketch pens
Take a drawing sheet and draw a lion on it using sketch pens. Take the coloured sheets and cut them in the form of strips and paste them in the form of bent shape using glue so that the Mane of the lion is highlighted. Paste the Googly eyes on the upper area of the face.
